The area of application of the TVR is in variable volume flow systems for supply and exhaust air. It can be used there as a volume flow controller for room pressure and as a channel pressure controller.

For the LABCONTROL-LON system, the TVR is combined with the TMA control component which is based on the TCU-LON-II controller.
