LON-WA5/B offers standard functions for integrating volume flow controllers with an analogue communications interface into a LonWorks network. It can be used as a set volume flow rate generator, an actual value measurement component and an operating mode switch for a subsequent volume flow controller.

The functions are based entirely on standard network variable types (SNVT), so that the LON-WA5/B can be integrated flexibly and smoothly into superordinate systems.

Area of application

Standard volume flow controllers from Gruner, Belimo, Siemens and Sauter can be connected directly to the LON-WA5/B. The various terminal assignments and operating mode changeovers of the individual manufacturers are provided by an adapter circuit board that can be plugged into the module.

Project-related special solutions
In addition to the standard use of LON-WA5/B, the existing digital and analogue inputs and outputs can be used to implement project-related special solutions.
An example is the integration of a pressure transmitter with analogue output signal into a LON network for the conversion of analogue pressure values into LON-conform standard network variables.
