The BBC commissioned an internationally renowned consultancy practice to design the air conditioning systems in their new building at Pacific Quay, Glasgow.
The media centre, as it was termed, had areas where noise levels could not exceed NR20 and also meet an extended noise curve between 32Hz and 8000Hz. These crucial areas had relatively high cooling loads up to 3.3kW emanating from the vast array of equipment and were to be served by an ultra quiet fan coil system.
