The TROX Group has announced the appointment of Ian Sams as Managing Director of TROX UK, effective 1st October 2011. Sams replaces Ludger Bökmann (who has fulfilled the role of MD for the last two years), allowing Mr Bökmann to return to full-time duties as Head of International Business for the TROX Group.

Ian Sams has spent more than half of his 30 year career in HVAC with TROX. In his sixteen years with the company he has fulfilled a number of senior roles, the most recent being Chief Operating Officer.

Sams commented, "I am immensely proud to be taking the company forward at this exciting stage in its development. An ambition for TROX UK is to maintain our leading position by increasing our market share across all of our product groups."

Whilst in his role as Chief Operating Officer, Sams has overseen a successful programme to establish new regional sales offices, in addition to the delivery of a £2.1 million capital investment at the Thetford site.
