The preventive fire protection systems – and, in particular, smoke and heat removal systems – have gained in importance against the background of personal protection. Here, the market is calling for system solutions that facilitate the installation, operation and maintenance of the systems.
For buildings with a complex geometry, in which critical flow conditions must be expected in the event of a fire, it is already standard practice today to prove the effectiveness of smoke and heat removal systems with scale models.
In order to be able to simulate smoke removal scenarios in the future we have developed a model facility. The results obtained will put us in a position to optimise existing products, design new products and draw up system solutions.
